Defense Working Group

The U.S.-Korea Business Council defense working group serves as a forum for council members interested in developments in Korea and Korean government regulations and policies related to defense industry, security, and aerospace-related issues.  Focus areas for the working group include developments in the U.S.-Korea security relationship and implications for the defense sector, export controls, offsets/acquisition process, and identifying partnership opportunities for U.S. and Korean businesses.

Through the working group, the Council aims to facilitate opportunities for members to engage with key U.S. and Korean stakeholders in these areas, and to provide members timely information related to the above topics and other issues of interest.

Recent Activities

Inaugural Joint Working Group Meeting, January 21, 2011 (Dana Point, CA)

Members of the two councils discussed topics of interest, including offset policies and export controls, and potential areas where the two councils could work together.
